📘 Admission to Ph.D. Programme
National Institute for Research in Tuberculosis (ICMR)
ICMR-NIRT invites applications from motivated candidates with strong academic records and a valid fellowship (CSIR/UGC/ICMR/DBT) for its Ph.D. programme in infectious disease research, particularly tuberculosis and related comorbidities. The institute is a WHO Collaborating Centre with modern research facilities.

Eligibility
Applicants must hold a Master’s degree (M.Sc./M.Tech./M.Pharm) in biological sciences with at least 60% (55% for SC/ST/PwD) and must have qualified for a recognized research fellowship (e.g., CSIR-UGC JRF, ICMR-JRF, DBT-JRF).
Age Limit
The upper age limit is 28 years. Relaxation is applicable as per Government of India rules for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates.

Selection Process
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview. They must bring attested copies and originals of academic records, date of birth proof, caste certificate, and fellowship award letter.
The final decision will be made by the Director/Admission Committee. Non-compliance with eligibility or canvassing will lead to disqualification.
