International Symposium on Health Technology Assessment (ISHTA-2025)
The International Symposium on Health Technology Assessment (ISHTA-2025) took place on March 8-9, 2025, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The event, themed "Bridging Evidence to Policy: Health Technology Assessment for Affordable Healthcare," brought together experts to discuss the latest HTA research and developments. The symposium provided a platform for researchers, policymakers, healthcare professionals, and industry representatives to exchange ideas and collaborate on innovative HTA approaches. Six HTA evaluation studies conducted by ICMR-NIRT were showcased at the HTA Marketplace.
Dignitaries, including Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda, Hon'ble Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, and other esteemed guests, visited the ICMR-NIRT stall, appreciating innovations like the Cy-Tb skin test kit, Truenat, and the BPaL regimen. Researchers and HTA specialists also visited the stall. Mr. M. Arvind, IAS, shared success stories on HTA adoption in Tamil Nadu. TN State health officials and the ICMR-NIRT HTA team, led by Dr. M. Muniyandi, participated in the symposium.
