Motivational Event for National TB Elimination Program Staff, Kanchipuram -2025
The Department of Social and Behavioural Research (DSBR) of ICMR-NIRT hosted a motivational event for frontline health staff of the National TB Elimination Program in Kancheepuram District on 4th November 2025. The event aimed to boost morale and provide valuable insights to 55 participants, including Health Visitors, Senior Treatment Supervisors (STS), and Senior Tuberculosis Laboratory Supervisors (STLS) from various TB units.
The interactive session covered essential themes such as work-life balance and peer support, facilitated through engaging activities like chart exercises and role-plays. Participants rated their time spent on different life dimensions, while role-plays highlighted the importance of empathy, communication, and teamwork in peer support.
The event was graced by esteemed guests Dr Kaleeswari (District TB Officer) and Dr Swetha (Medical Officer) from the District TB Centre, Kancheepuram, as well as Mrs Chandra Suresh (PTO, DSBR) and senior social workers, who played a key role in coordinating and leading the program.
