Celebration of Hindi Diwas and Hindi Pakhwada 2025
ICMR-National Institute for Research in Tuberculosis (NIRT), Chennai, celebrated Hindi Diwas 2025 with great enthusiasm by organizing a 14-day Hindi Pakhwada from 16th to 29th September, 2025. Under the guidance of the Official Language Implementation Committee, the event was themed " Working in Hindi is easy — just make a start!"
During the fortnight-long celebration, four competitions were held: Hindi Sulekh (Handwriting), Hindi Anuvad and Shrutilekh (Translation and Dictation), Hindi Nibandh (Essay Writing), and Hindi Kavita Path (Poetry Recitation). The competitions saw participation from scientists, technical staff, administrative staff, project staff, and Ph.D. research scholars.
Nearly 90 participants participated with great enthusiasm, reflecting their genuine interest and dedication towards the promotion and use of Hindi in official communication and daily activities. All participants received certificates, while winners were awarded prize money and certificates in recognition of their outstanding performances .
The celebration concluded with a Closing and Prize Distribution Ceremony, where winners were felicitated for their achievements. The event successfully promoted awareness and appreciation of the Hindi language across the Institute, embodying the spirit of Hindi Diwas.
