HTA Sensitisation Programme in DPHICON 2025
The Regional Resource Hub for HTAIn at ICMR-National Institute for Research in Tuberculosis, in collaboration with the Directorate of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Government of Tamil Nadu, organized a sensitization program on Health Technology Assessment in India (HTAIn) as part of the 4th Annual International Public Health Conference (DPHICON 2025). The conference was held on 25th September, 2025, at Periyar University, Salem, with the theme "Resilient Public Health System".
During the program, Dr. M. Muniyandi and Dr. N. Karikalan delivered a session on health economics, cost-utility analyses, and real-world applications in TB, NCDs, and screening programs. They highlighted HTA studies conducted by ICMR-NIRT and their impact on national and state-level policy-making. The session was well-received by State and District Health Officers, as well as postgraduate students from various medical colleges, who appreciated its practical relevance for programme planning and policy-making.
