Motivation Programme for NTEP Staff


The Department of Social and Behavioural Research (DSBR) of ICMR-NIRT organized an event centered around motivation and orientation for the frontline health staff of National TB Elimination Program in Kancheepuram District on the 27th of June, 2024. Sixty four participants including Health Visitors, Senior Treatment Supervisors (STS), and Senior Tuberculosis Laboratory Supervisors (STLS) from various TB units actively participated and gained valuable insights from the session. The event commenced with an ice-breaking session and covered themes such as fostering positive communication in the workplace and enhancing problem-solving abilities in patient care, community engagement, and daily operations. Followed by it, the mind-mapping activity using pictures and cuttings from newspapers and magazines, focused on problem solving skills. Additionally, the session highlighted the significance of the "Wings of Support" initiative of ICMR-NIRT and introduced a new research study. The event was attended by Dr. Kaleeswari (District TB Officer) and Dr Swetha (Medical Officer) from the District TB Centre, Kancheepuram.Β  Dr Karikalan (Head, Dept. of Social and Behavioural Research) along with his senior social workers and other staff coordinated and lead the program.
