Strategic Conclave with Technical Resource Centres
ICMR-National Institute for Research in Tuberculosis (NIRT) hosted the Strategic Conclave with Technical Resource Centres (TRC) in Mahabalipuram from 23rd to 24th January 2025. This meeting was organized by the Centre for Evidence-based Guidelines, Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Chaired by Dr Rajiv Bahl, Secretary-DHR & Director General-ICMR, this two-day event brought together all the principal investigators of the recently established Technical Resource Centres to strengthen evidence-based guideline development in India.Dr Tushar Karmakar, Deputy Secretary, DHR welcomed the experts while Dr Roopa Hariprasad, Sci-F, DHR, coordinated the meeting. Dr Rajiv Bahl addressed the TRCs and emphasized the need for evidence-based guidelines, and shared his experience through guideline development. Dr Joseph Mathew, Professor, PGIMER, Chandigarh, one of the experts shared insights on challenges in guideline development. Dr Manoj Murhekar, Director of ICMR-NIRT, felicitated the experts while Dr Leeberk Raja Sci- E & Principal Investigator of the TRC at ICMR-NIRT, proposed a vote of thanks.The conclave provided a platform for TRCs to discuss and align their efforts towards developing robust evidence-based guidelines for India.
