Swachhta Hi Sewa Campaign 2025
ICMR-NIRT, Chennai actively participated in the nationwide Swachhta Hi Sewa Campaign 2025, promoting cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental sustainability within and beyond our campus.
As part of the campaign, we took the Swachhta Pledge, reaffirming our collective commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene. Our Waste-to-Art Competition encouraged staff and their families to showcase their creativity while promoting recycling and sustainability. We also conducted preventive health check-ups for our housekeeping staff, providing them with essential health screenings and awareness on occupational safety.
Additionally, we organized a park cleaning drive and an intensive campus cleanliness drive, ensuring proper waste segregation practices. Expert talks on cleanliness, environment, and health were also conducted to enhance awareness among staff, students, and the local community.
These activities enhanced awareness among staff, students, and the local community about hygiene and environmental responsibility, promoting sustainable habits and reinforcing our commitment to the Swachh Bharat Mission and public health goals.
