Training on smoking cessation to health care workers in Madurai
As a part of the study titled “Smoking Cessation among TB patients in Madurai: aiding TB free Madurai”, a sensitivity and training session on tobacco cessation for the health care workers in TB program of Madurai district was conducted on 11 th August, 2023 at HFWTC Hall, DDHS Office, Viswanathapuram, Madurai. A total number of 186 Health Care Workers (HCWs) – MLHP and HI attended the training in two batches. The training program was jointly organised by ICMR-National Institute for Research in Tuberculosis, Deputy Director of Health Services, Madurai and NTEP, Madurai and Cancer Institute, Adyar, Chennai.
