Workshop on "Pulmonary Function Test" (22nd March 2024)
As a part of World TB Day activity, ICMR-NIRT conducted a "Workshop on Pulmonary Function Test" on 22nd March, 2024 in collaboration with the Institute of Thoracic Medicine, Madras Medical College. During the forenoon session, Dr Rupak Singla (Consultant, NITRD, New Delhi) covered the Basics and Demonstration of Spirometry, Case reports presentation and Interpretation steps. During the afternoon session, participants underwent hands-on training on DLCO & Forced Oscillation Technique guided by Dr Vinod Kumar (Director), Dr. Rajeswari Sendhil (Registrar), Dr Nancy Glory (Professor), Dr Palaniappan & Dr Vijayachandar (Asst. Professors) of the Institute of Thoracic Medicine.
Totally, 60 participants (Staff Nurses and Scientists from NIRT, Pulmonology Post Graduates from Kilpauk Medical College, Madras Medical College and other private Medical Colleges) attended the workshop. The Tamil Nadu Medical Council reviewed, accredited and awarded CME credit hours for the workshop participants.
