World TB Day program at Vellore
ICMR NIRT Vellore Unit in Government Vellore Medical College observed World TB day 2024 under the theme of "Yes! We can end TB" from 22nd March 2024 to 26th March 2024 . Health awareness events were held to improve the knowledge of TB among general public, medical and para medical students. TB champions shared their experience of TB disease and how they overcame the disease. General public were given awareness about TB disease and the treatment available and the key strategies to prevent the disease by quitting smoking, alcohol and improving nutrition. These activities were conducted by NIRT, Vellore in coordination with District NTEP programme office and Government Vellore Medical College.
